THIS STRONG'S SELECTION

Reggae Strong was the first reggae tv series to be broadcast internationally between

1987 and 1992. Conceived by Jamaican playwright, actor and director, Stafford Ashani,

the archive from which the series emerged was produced out of New York City by StepLivelyVideo.com between 1984 - 1996 and it contains concerts, comprehensive interviews and cultural segments that document a unique and exciting era in the music's history. Currently being remastered and preserved, the library can be viewed on the Step Lively YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/c/ReggaeStrongTVintl

    Concrete Jungleheart PhotoArt

For decades I looked to the Caribbean as an escape from Babylon without appreciating the fact that the magical forests of Central Park and Riverside Park lay within walking distance of my front door. People think of Manhattan as a big, bad, urban machine, but in reality, it's a blessed island. Not only has it been a refuge for many of the Earth's people for 400 years, in the heart of the jungle you will find a lush, beautiful and peaceful oasis. Manhattan is the only borough of New York City that retains its indigenous Lenape name,"Mannahata"—'the thicket where wood can be found to make bows.' Step Lively's current venture, Concrete Jungleheart Photo Art, focuses on revealing the hidden beauty of this special island in photographs and music videos.

Billie is our photo muse and jungle guide.
